As your city population grows, you will unlock new buildings. There are 6 city ranks you can meet:
City rank: | 1️⃣ Hamlet | 2️⃣ Village | 3️⃣ Neighborhood | 4️⃣ Town | 5️⃣ City | 6️⃣ Large City |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Required population | 0 | 100 | 250 | 500 | 2,000 | 10,000 |
Tourists will appear on a regular basis in your city. They will either come here to visit the city, find a new home, or both.
If they find a vacant residential zone the mayor has placed before, they will build their house and become a Silizen of level 1. It is possible that the zone, even if vacant, doesn’t satisfy the tourist (See: Land value and Density). They will look for a job after settling down.
The attractivity index tells how many tourists are expected each day. This value is calculated every new day according to your city’s global attractivity as well as its residential and commercial capacity. You can read this value in the population panel.
Your citizens have a rank too and their goal is to reach the rank 5️⃣.
<aside> ℹ️ To reach a rank x they must be happy and live in a house of rank x or more.

Houses of level 2 will be unlocked with a Mayor of level 2, and so on. (See Mayor popularity).
Citizens of rank 1️⃣ will be happy if they:
Citizens of rank 2️⃣ will be happy if they:
Citizens of rank 3️⃣ will be happy if they:
Citizens of rank 4️⃣ will be happy if they:
This rank 1 citizen has an expensive rent and needs to find a better paying job or a cheaper home before ranking up.
This rank 3 citizen has everything and only misses living in a home of level 4 to rank up. Houses of level 4 are unlocked with the “Epic Mayor” title.
Citizens can also rank down, if they are not happy anymore, lose their job or are forced to move in a lower rank home.
Citizens having a walk in the parks of your city have a higher chance of becomming happier.
Raising the land value will make it easier for buildings to rank up.
At level 1, your residential zones have a 1 silizen per block density. So a zone of 5x5 will host 25 silizens. The higher the rank, the higher the density will get, and this also applies for the number of jobs.
Each Silizen is always trying to do something; they don't like to remain idle. Their activities are divided into three categories, each with its own priority.
