On Silicon City’s main screen, you can choose to start a new Classic Game or play a Story Chapter from the Tutorial. You’ll find all your saved games listed from the most recently saved, and access to the settings screens.

Most of this guide will relate to the Classic Mode, as it is the default way of playing Silicon City.

World Creation

To start a new City from the ground up, you’ll have to choose a land to begin from.

Use the options on the right part of the screen to adjust the generation of your terrain. Give it a name and choose from the type of Mode you want before pressing the “Play” button to start

Untitled

You can copy and paste the seed of a map to share it with other players. Try this one: 9317080913220233952

Name and Seed (optional)

These two options won't have much effect if you're starting out.

Map Size

There are three options:

While map sizes are mostly similar in gameplay they can notably affect the length of a playthrough; which size is best will vary from player to player and often depends on the amount of time one has on hand. Also note that the bigger the map option is you choose, the longer the wait time will be for the world to generate at loading time. (and makes larger saves)

Game Mode and Difficulty

🕹 Classic mode is the default scenario to play Silicon City. It contains missions to guide the mayor through the first hours of play. Missions will give rewards and unlock new buildings as reaching the next ranks. The game difficulty will change the amount of moey you start the game with (from $ 20,000 to $ 50,000) and will adjust the immigration rate during your play.

🏰 Sandbox mode gets you to play Silicon City without any restriction. All the buildings are unlocked and you have infinite money. This is the way young players or city building first-timers would prefer to play as it is not challenging and offers a great creativity. Leaderboards and achievments are disabled in sandbox.
